I bought him this months ago - he showed little to zero interest in it. Then yesterday evening I walked in the lounge to find him curled into it like this..........
Yes it’s nearly 3 years. He is soft and gentle. Timid on times. Will get all boisterous and playful around a big dog occasionally then scared of a leaf blowing towards him the next lol. So loving though and leans in for cuddles at every opport7nity. They really are deep, gentle souls.
He sounds just perfect VW, I've always had an affection for Greyhounds. I sponser one called Kara at the Dogs Trust, I give a monthly donation for her, she sends me Christmas cards
There is a lot to be said for being part of a group, and the support and friendship that is gained from this.
I remember our dog coming across a greyhound. She went into 'get ready to run' mode, at that the greyhound was off, and my dog, who fancies herself as a sprinter just stood there, and you could see her mouthing "What the heck was that, and where's it gone?!!!!"

Haha - what I find is that when people with little dogs are coming towards us, then tend to pick them up - I think they must believe Fred would chase and eat them! He is always on a lead, and if only they knew he is far more interested in them than their dog! He greets everyone he meets and leans into them. Dogs jump all over him and he stands staring into the middle distance. Very aloof. He's even lost interest in squirrels and cats - he just can't be bothered. When people realise this, he gets hugs and strokes with them commenting on how soft his coat is lol
