First nosey post of 2024

Randy Crawford has a stunning voice, and that song is beautiful and very emotive MCG, I really enjoyed listening to it.

Are you concerned about your father because he is ill at the moment?  You have a sister close by, is this something you can discuss together and make plans and help each other to put those plans in place?

It really is a luxury to be able to absorb yourself totally in a book for hours and hours isn't it, brilliant when you can do that, it also helps to take your mind off things too.

The one that got away eh Moi, if you did find Mr Right, and he was on 250k  a year, would you give up your present career  to have a settled relationship and children, or do you think you would still like to keep doing the job you are doing and retain some independence?

No, never, as I know I won't achieve any

Used to be a "Guerlain" addict - "Liu", "Vol de Nuit", "Jicky" ... But all of them now different, and as the price increses, the quality decreases ! Like now" Fragonard perfumes, based in Grasse, the capital of French perfumes :

5. What keeps you awake at night?

2.00 - 4.00 am   ... awful ... But prefer not to dwell on it 

6. If you had a whole day to totally please yourself, what would you do?



Would surely plane a trip to some seaside place, in Britanny

Maybe never took myself too seriously, kept a sense of humour.



8. Is there a time when you did something so out of character that your closest chums wouldn't believe it?

Some 20 years ago, the Headmaster of my highschool retirement party ...some oriental music and I started dancing - not quite "belly dancing", but not far !

WOW!! LLCC, that video is amazing...and you really did that, how nervous were you before the point of no return?  Did you scream as you were flying through the air?  What an incredible thing to do,    what an incredible experience.

Isn't it strange that it is that period between say 2 am and 4 am when we awake with worries and concerns, on the sleep.com site I found this explanation;

'Cortisol may be best known as the body’s stress hormone, but it also plays a pivotal role in managing our sleep “architecture.” Studies of circadian rhythm — your 24-hour body clock — have shown that cortisol levels naturally begin to increase between 2 and 3 a.m. If you’re already stressed or anxious, and your cortisol levels are naturally rising, it’s not surprising that you’d wake up at that hour. When your body’s sympathetic nervous system kicks into gear, the increase in heart rate and blood pressure also may make it harder to fall back asleep.

I have also read somewhere that going to bed on an empty tummy encourages anxiety during the period of cortisol production...those pesky hormones don't leave us alone even when we are asleep
