My dad is in a nursing home - well actually right now he's in hospital after a nasty fall, but hopefully soon he will be returning there. I want to put together a goodie box for the amazing staff to share, a lot of the staff are from the Philippines and as it'll be a work gift I don't think I should include booze, but apart from biscuits & chocolates for them to share, what else can you think of that would be a good idea to give them.
So sorry to hear about your dad Jax, a nasty fall at any age is very scary, but the older we get the more dangerous they can be, hope he manages to get back to his nursing home soon.
It is such a lovely thought to do a hamper for the staff there, depending on how many, what about buying a particularly pretty set of large Christmas baubles and putting enough in the hamper so they can take home one each to put on their own tree? Also, I know it's food, but what about a Panettone, apart from tasting good they look so pretty in their festive boxes.
When hubs was in hospital, I took in a hamper of fruit. The start were overjoyed, they said that everyone took in biscuits and chocolate and fruit was a welcome change. Jaz, the staff will welcome anything that they can eat on the go.

Jax, hope your Dad will recover soon and be back to his nursing home for the Holidays ! I think a gift of tea /teas will be welcome - is Kusmi tea available in the UK ?Great choice and "Holidays gifts". And, if you know they have a coffee machine in their staff room, "pods" assortment ?
I don't know if the staff have a common room for themselves, but if so a lovely scented diffuser for the room. Pump action hand cream, or even a book of fun filled trivia to chat about when taking 5 minutes out.
I like your thoughts Jax and my just copy that for the staff at my MIL's home. She is so happy there, she has never been as bright as she is now for a good few years.
My grandmother is 98 years old and lives in a carehome: the staff are lovely and really look after her. HOWEVER they could do a better job of doing the cleaning: like cleaning the toilet and dusting in the living room and bedroom. They should also help my Nan declutter and not allow so much stuff in there.
On the other hand there are no piles of rubbish or anything like that.
