Off to spend the first few days of December at Chatsworth in Derbyshire. We are staying a the hunting tower for a few days, behind the main house.
Looking forward to viewing the Christmas decorated rooms in the house and the garden. The weather is typically festive with white frosts and minus degrees. So it is winter woolies and long walks in the grounds, with a couple of visits to the local pubs
Sunny, I went to Chatsworth last year. The House was beautifully decorated and there were Christmas trees around every corner. Members of the public were allowed to play the piano. It was lovely. I hope that the Christmas market is on, I bought some delicious goodies. Especially the quiche.
I had the most wonderful time and the decorations in the house were beautiful. They had the most amazing light show outside on the front of the house that depicted 24 days of advent. The weather was extremely cold and frosty but dry for the first couple of days and then on Sunday we woke up to thick blanket of snow! talk about pulling all the festive stops out. The countryside looked magical ! Definitely put us all in the Christmas spirit. Unfortunately Trisha, the Christmas market had finished the weekend before, but I certainly enjoyed the gift shops and local farmshop.

Sounds like a wonderful festive event.
You just need one thing to really get you in the mood
There is a lot to be said for being part of a group, and the support and friendship that is gained from this.

That sounds magical. You must've had the time of your life. The snow is certainly festive and beautiful.
