Anyone got any tips for stopping paths and patios being slippy. I’m getting quite anxious that someone may come a cropper at our house. I remember my lovely old Grannie throwing out the water that she’d boiled potatoes in on the outside path so assume it was for this very purpose but we don’t boil potatoes in our house!
some good ideas there. The gritty paint is a good one and comes in many colours. I had the same problem with some leaf shaped pavers that lead to the front door, I actually took them up and moved them to the back garden and got some "rough" ones put down, was so worried my mum was going to slip on them.
There is a lot to be said for being part of a group, and the support and friendship that is gained from this.
Thanks for the link Shaliby. Some very interesting suggestions there for winter weather. At the moment we’re dealing more with moss and algae I think. I don’t want to use chemicals for obvious reasons plus we have a fishpond.
