I fast forwarded over a lot of the programme last night, but Angela Rippon was amazing (at 78!), Les Dennis was appalling, Nigel Harmon was very good and Annabel Croft wasn't quite as bad as I feared she would be. (Hope this hasn't ruined anything for anyone who hasn't caught up with it yet)
Will the 'curse of Strictly' mean relationship breakdowns this year for the contestants I wonder.
Yes Jax, a big fan too, having said that I can’t watch solidly for over two hours, so had a shower break after Angela Rippon who was amazing, the dancers I saw were pretty good and it was their first dance after all, didn’t catch Les Dennis though.
I don't/can't watch Strictly, it just makes me feel a bit icky, don't know why. I think maybe it is because at some point there will be some shenanigans going on with one of the dancers gets off with somebody who is married with 3 kids, and then that Shirley wots her name and Craig whats his name get all above themselves and start slagging each other off, and then there's that guy who used to be a dancer but is now a judge, but no one likes him anyhoo, and then there's that woman with the fringe and THEN...there's Angela Rippon getting some 18 year old to lift her left leg sky high so you can see right up her wind tunnel
I mean, that young lad will be scarred for life Social services need to get involved.
Meant to watch but forgot the first weekend then just saw a few this weekend. It’s just rather long as Jazzy said and always ridiculous who is kept in. Read an article about Les Dennis, will he be the one?!
Used to be a fan but I think the format is starting to feel a little tired now so have stopped watching. Just flick over now and then to check out the outfits, which are still amazing.
Last year was the first time I’ve ever watched it and I quite enjoyed it so I’m watching it again this year. I think they’ve used up most of the famous celebrities willing to take part though.
I must admit to having a shameful crush on one of the dancers. I mean I could be his granny.

Is it me?
Who needs Sarah Millican when we've got CJ and her wicked SOH
For the last couple of years, our little one and I have watched it and yes we voted. This year it seems to have lots some of its attraction, she would rather play a board game instead.

I only watched up to Angela Rippon doing her leg stretch and the reaction of the judges. I was impressed with her flexibility at her age, although I did feel she was a little wooden at times dancing.
I hardly know any of the contestants, so have little interest in the programme. I do think the costumes are amazing. I do feel the BBC2 programme during the week is just stringing it out a bit !
Didn't watch last night - was watching the rugby on tv instead - but have seen the judges' scores .... looks like there was a bit of a shake up last night, some of the performers who scored high in previous weeks were further towards the bottom last night. Will tune in for the results show tonight out of curiosity.
