It's full steam ahead this weekend moving my OH from the conservatory where his office has been for 10 years. Bain of my life as not a tidy person, to sharing the annexe next door with our YS who is also moving out of our house. The open plan living kitchen will be communal and OH's office and upstairs will be a bedroom, livingroom and bathroom for our YS.
Have that much furniture to jiggle, think I will be jiggling for months, selling on e-bay and giving things away. Old furniture is by far more sturdy but sadly not fashionable. Alot of my MIL's furniture is dark heavy oak that even when painted, looks like dark heavy oak painted
Hopefully in a couple of weeks there should be routine and a sense of organisation ??
Hows it all going SD? sounds a lot of fun tbh, apart from the heavy oak furniture. Youll be able to recommission your conservatory now and I bet you have nice plans for it
There is a lot to be said for being part of a group, and the support and friendship that is gained from this.
I've been through a similar shuffle recently, where we moved a few pieces of furniture to better utilize our living space. It does take time, but eventually, everything finds its place.

I feel overwhelmed by furniture in my apartment: I hate it. No: I need to throw much more away or even donate quality items.
