Yes, my first visit to a Greggs, can’t quite believe how it took so long, after years of not living near one or even passing one by on a shopping trip to another town, constantly hearing the presenter’s on the local radio banging on about pasties, and sausage rolls, I finally found a Greggs, I needed petrol and the refurbished petrol station shop answered my prayers, in I walked and saw the Greggs sign, walked over to the counter and chose two jam doughnuts, one for me and one for YS, we had an afternoon cuppa together, delicious and absolutely delicious jam, none of that nasty pale pink stuff that some doughnut producers pass off as jam, good thing I don’t need petrol too often 😂
I’m sure you’ve all been to one, what’s your favourite 🤩
Next time I’m going to try a pastie B, then a yum yum and bacon and cheese turnover on your recommendation VW, you never know, we might even tempt LLCC to come on board 🍩 🥟 🥓
My MIL hates everything. Nothing is ever good enough. Anyway about a year ago I suggested we get some Greggs pasties for lunch as there’s one in a garage on the way. Now she has to have them once a week. She still pulls a face if I can’t get her the steak bake though so if there’s only one left she gets that and we have to have something different.
The steak bake is definitely the best.
Years ago I did jury service and had to get the train into Piccadilly station (Manchester) every day for 10 weeks. I got stuck on a long trial. The station is crammed full of food outlets of all kinds but the only one that was queued out the door and down the road every day was Greggs.
