Yes Moi, I just couldn’t stand him before we found out the truth, I couldn’t bear all that silly voice stuff he always did, gives me the shivers to think about him, it’s disgraceful that people knew about his ways and didn’t do anything.
Moi, he was very involved with raising money for our local hospital and spent a lot of time in this area, so sometimes I'd see him when he was out running around our local streets. I always found him very creepy, it turned out later that he had carried out some appalling acts actually at the hospital - I remember a friend's girlfriend back in the 80s being a nurse there and saying she would avoid being in the department if he was visiting because his hands were all over you if he got close enough. They even named the cafe 'Jimmy's' - needless to say, it's not called that any more!
He used to have a programme on TV, most probably the BBC, called Jim’ll Fix It. I used to love watching that as a kid but as I got older I found him creepy. A school friend of mine was in a car accident about 1980 , she broke her back and was in Stoke Mandeville hospital. She said she told the nurses to keep him away from her as was told to me by another school friend.
