The Italian Job...I have never been that keen on Amanda Holden , but do have a soft spot for Alan Carr, they have done a series together ( they are very good chums apparently) where they buy two dilapidated apartments for 1 euro each in Sicily and transform them into something magical.
It is based in a rural village in Sicily, and is a treat to watch during these dark, cold winter months. It is a mix of sun drenched hills and beaches, a delightful insight of the towns and village life and the corny, quirky humour between these two chums, plus a refurb project with a project manager who could shake my castanets anytime
The refurbed apartment was sold with the proceeds going to a local charity
Get it on BBC iplayer if you didn't see it the first time around
I haven’t watched Cj, in my opinion Alan Carr has a voice and personality that are beyond irritating, but I may take a peek to see the project manager, I can mute the other two……………..now where are my castanets 🤣🤣🤣
Watched it all, loved it! I thought Alan Carr was brilliant, he was quite funny but more importantly, I thought he had much better taste than Amanda Holden - she was really quite bossy and her choices for her bedroom and bathroom bordering on tacky. Alans was way more serene surprisingly.
Sicily looked amazing, they did a good job in between the reno showing us the sights.
There is a lot to be said for being part of a group, and the support and friendship that is gained from this.
