I have a tendency to follow people who are big into interior design. It has been quite an eye opener to discover that some of these have thousands of people following them and have become - 'influencers' (I think that's the term used) or get free products supplied to do product placements.
It is a sign of the times and one that I am happy to pop into, but not live on !!
You can however, get great ideas from some of these people. Ikea hacks - seem to be the thing at the minute, where you adapt a piece of cheap and cheerful furniture to make it look more exclusive.
I’ve got an account too, but have never used it, I like to follow sewing and embroidery instas also they often include a bit of home stuff, I get linked up to people following the original insta, for a bit of light relief from diy, and let’s be honest, a lot of instas just bore the pants off me being show offs, follow charliemackesy 🥰
I have never been really sure what Instagram is. I have a Facebook account but don't post anything, I just share things that I think may be useful to other people. I registered for something else? I think it was for sharing favourite things. I don't recall the name. I don't have a Twitter account.

I love Pinterest but admit to being frustrated when people come into the showroom with Pinterest pictures and say - I want my bathroom to look like this!! Usually enormous, with fab natural light and no doors in wrong places (so unlike most peoples bathrooms) I do have 2 Instagram accounts - my personal one which is very boring and sparce and my craft one for my bags and baskets - it helps get some interest with the fundraising.
I’ve got an IG account but find it’s so full of suggestions or sponsored posts these days which puts me off looking. For every 2 that I’m following, I then get 2 that I’m not. I would say my most followed topic is gardens and plants. themontydon. matchworkflowers. flowers-for-your-weekend.
I am following a woman on IG called Effective Spaces. She shows different ways to fold clothes and save space in cupboards. Also great ways to wrap gifts.
I do now fold a few bits differently, all in my attempt to try and tidy the home and de-clutter. A never ending cycle
