Has anyone been to Lapland or know of someone who has?
When the kids were little, always wanted to go, but it was soooo expensive. Would still love to go, but is there a cheaper alternative or somewhere just as magical at Christmas?

No we’ve never been but always thought it sounded like a magical thing to do. That Centre Parcs Santa workshop is a bit of a tease isn’t it? No information until you’ve given them your details and email!
We are going to Centre Parcs Trisha, but not until January, so unfortunately will miss Santa... but I can tell you that OD went with her boyfriend in December before lockdown and had a wonderful time, there were life size reindeer in a pen and they were singing, she said Santas workshop was amazing, so a perfect choice for your little one.

With Centre Parcs LL, you can only gain access if you have a booked break. Your car has to stay in the car park and you travel on foot or cycle through the forest, so no cars spoil your time.
The only way you would get to do any of the activities or special events would be if you were a guest staying or a day guest, to be a day guest you have to have an invitation from a booked break guest - example when I go in Jan with MD for a long weekend, we have invited 2 people to join us on one of the days, so they're our day guests and they can do any activities while they are with us.
