I know this will put a smile on your face B, but I couldn't resist buying my monsters an advent calendar each It had a picture of them (golden retriever) on the front of it. I know I get more pleasure out of this than they do.
Sunny ~ is this a sneaky way of mentioning the festivities, and well before Halloween and Bonfire Night? You are getting organised early this year
I am sure your monsters will enjoy their advent chocolates, don't buy our dog these, she has never eaten chocolate, I am beginning to feel a bit mean, she did get a new cuddly toy yesterday though, she loves it, sitting by me right now and putting her head on my leg for a quick pat.
Aha! SD, so you're not the Grinch after all:) Yes it has made me smile:)
Your dog sounds so lovely Jazzy how sweet to buy her a cuddly toy.
I myself actually couldn't resist buying my two kitties a foil tray of "Christmas dinner for Kitties", it was in Tesco in a festive wrapping, turkey and sage it says on the front. Thought I'd try it out early and see if they like it:)
There is a lot to be said for being part of a group, and the support and friendship that is gained from this.
I buy my cats something special to eat and put a tinsel collar on them which makes them sulk and they get rid of in about an hour. Makes the walkers laugh when they see them on the wall. The kittens will probably try to eat the damn things this year!
So I am also not the soft one when it comes to our pets I actually bought the monsters their calendars and then felt mean as I hadn't bought my kids any, so trollied back to the human advents and stuck them in too. The treats in the calendars are more like dog biscuits in wrappers Jaz, which is handy as in the past I have struggled to remember and ended up using them in February !
