I am now reading "Romancing The Soul" by Sarah Tranter.
It is a fictional story about past life transgressions. It is utterly brilliant.
I finished reading this yesterday. A truly brilliant read. 10/10. One of the characters annoyed me: she was way too paranoid. But that was just part of the story. And it did end happily. I'd recommend you guys give this novel a read.
I'm going to my local library on Friday. I have finished reading one pile of books and need more to read.
I am an avid reader: I devour books.
I borrowed four books yesterday afternoon and finished reading the first one last night. "In The Dead Of Winter" is a crime masterpiece. I'd read it again.
My friend lent me a book called Air Babylon. It’s all about 24 hours in the life of an airport. It’s hilarious and makes me never want to fly again. Im also reading the 3 body problem. I watched the series on Netflix when it came out and now I’m reading the book to make more sense of what actually happened. Once I’ve done with those two I’ll probably download the new Marian Keyes book. I love almost everything she’s written.
I do like to have some kind of intellectual book on the go but I’ve been struggling through Brian Cox’s The Quantum Universe. I love all that sort of stuff but it’s tough going.

I know what you mean. I'm not stupid but complex science is exactly that. It takes a LOT of education and training to understand a lot of scientific principles. My dad is an expert in science and mathematics but I'm an artist rather than a scientist.
Still, Brian Cox does explain things clearly. He's an expert at simplifying facts about the universe and cosmology.

I am now reading "So Wrong, So Right" by Glenis Wilson. It is an interesting story but not my favourite and I don't think I'd read it a second time. But still: it is entertaining and well written. It's just not my cup of tea. I will read it all the way through, though.

I saw this series too Magggzz, enjoyed it very much but struggled to keep up with the mechanics of it. I felt a bit robbed of 2 of the characters going so early, why them? they were great characters.
Hi MCG, artist, not scientist...think thats me too.
There is a lot to be said for being part of a group, and the support and friendship that is gained from this.

The strange thing is: when you're an artist you want to be a science expert. But when you're a science expert you want to be good at art.
I've always had an interest in science but I just don't have the discipline like my dad. No: I am an artist.
BUT being an artist isn't a bad thing at all. We were all created different.

I finished reading this novel last night. I actually really enjoyed it and would give it 10/10. It was extremely well written and enjoyable to read. I'd definitely read it again. At first I wasn't sure but the story picked up and became nostalgic and romantic. Because it IS a romance novel. It is bittersweet and you do hope the two people find each other again. It is frustrating in parts too: why they don't forget their responsibilities and get together. Just be honest with everyone and admit they love each other. They sacrifice their happiness by looking after others. In their shoes I would've left my husband and stayed with the man. I would explain to my children I didn't love their father anymore and had fallen in love. They'd have to come to terms with it eventually. I certainly would not have stayed with my bastard husband. No matter how people tried to pressure me. AND I certainly would not have allowed my parent to choose my husband because he had money. I am - basically - nothing like the characters and it drove me mental! They should have stayed together.
I am now reading "Star Teacher" by Jack Sheffield. It is one of the best and I'd also give this book 10/10. A truly original and brilliant read. This book is general fiction, so isn't crime or science fiction. For its genre it is 100% quality.

Today I finished reading this book. I was right with my first impressions: "Star Teacher" is fun yet serious and interesting. There is never a dull moment in the whole book. I'd still give it 10/10 and would happily read it again.
Right now I am reading "Dear Little Corpses" by Nicola Upson. It is a brilliant crime novel and I love it.
I finished reading this yesterday. An extremely well written novel and one I'd read again. A very clever read and well worth the time spent reading it.

I also read "Sorry For The Dead" by the same author. Not one I'd read again but it is extremely well written book and certainly worth at least one read. However, I didn't like the ending: I wanted the real killer caught and put in prison. Still, it had to end somehow and the reader did find out who the real killer was and why.
