I see in unrelated posts, comments about books you are all reading or dipping in to. My latest purchase is called THE EIGHT LIMBS OF YOGA By Stuart Ray Sabacker and Kevin Kimble. I’ve been going to yoga classes more and more having been encouraged by a sister-in-law and a couple of friends. I’m now interested not just in practicing but learning more about the philosophy behind it.
I'm impressed with you not only learning yoga but learning about it on a deeper level.
Factual at the moment for me LL simply because as you say "dip in", suits me while I'm house hunting.
I am reading Dark Nostalgia a book my brother gave me at Christmas. It's all about interiors of characterful homes and business. Using rich dark colours
There is a lot to be said for being part of a group, and the support and friendship that is gained from this.
I don't have a book at the minute. I have ordered the new Milly Johnson. Yes, I know that it's chick lit. But I love her books. I usually get my kindle version, but I wanted a signed hardback. We met her once at a book signing, she is a down to earth Barney lass!

I am mainly reading ( or flicking through the pictures) of hand medown gardening magazines from a friend at the mo. Haven’t seemed to have had the time to read a book for ages. Maybe when we go away next week....
I have been really struggling to find time to read anything in the last few months, until a couple of weeks ago I had 3 unfinished books on the go which I'd not picked up since before Christmas, however I finished one of them (Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman) which I really enjoyed. In December a friend loaned me 'A Little Life' by Hanya Yanagihara, I am only up to page 33 but need to crack on with it (or she'll think I've lost it). The third is one of a detective series which I have on my Kindle, maybe at the hairdresser tomorrow I might be able to make progress with that one.
Reading is a pleasure which I wish I could find more time for. I am so tired when I go to bed that I can't keep my eyes open to read a book. I take my Kindle with me if I'm going for an appointment and know there'll be some hanging about, but apart from that it's holidays when I really get a chance to read. When do you read?
I used to be an avid reader but rarely find time now. I try in bed but manage one page before my eyes go too! I have a book in the car and if I get to work too early I will sit and have a 10 minute read. Packed several books in the camper for next week, as doubt we will have tv or internet so hoping I can read one of them lol
I also have a few magazines that were left for me by a relative. They are a mix of fashion and home but all I do is flick through and look at the photos these days. Women’s mags don’t interest me much as it tends to be the same topics rehashed. I remember the days when I didn’t bother reading articles about the menopause because I was too young and now I’m way passed it! I am too tired to read in bed too and more often than not I read when I eat on my own or have a drink. You all are reading a wide range of books which makes me think that I should find a good book. I have a stack of unread ones so will have a look through!
I agree about magazines, I pick them up at the supermarket and then find I am interested in such a small number of the articles that they're a complete waste of money. I also dislike the celeb mags that the hairdresser has these days, I don't know who half these people are and if you get given a stack of them, you read one article about so-and-so professing their love for whoever, then an issue from a few weeks later says they split up and are now with completely different people (who I also don't recognise) etc. Thank goodness for my kindle.
