Problems with this site.

Wow! Just logged on for the first time in a few days and saw the message from badpuss2. What can I say! I have obviously missed a lot of the comments she refers to. I do not recognise a lot of the things she says, as for cliques, I don't know who she's referring to because clearly I haven't been invited to join any!

As she's left, she presumably won't be reading this, but if she is then I wish her health & happiness in the future and hope she gets what she wants from other forums if she is not happy with this one.

The rest of you .... I love you all, I work almost full-time, we've had builders in the house for the last 5 months and I don't get as much time as I used to for checking out posts on here, if that causes anyone offence then sorry, but sometimes life gets in the way.

What I do agree with, is that Moi and Trisha are true ladies.

What a boring world it would be if we agreed with each other all the time, but I think as reasonable adults we should be able to discuss things without necessarily agreeing or holding the same viewpoint. I would never want to deliberately cause anyone offence, but sometimes agreeing to differ is ok.

So sorry to hear this Badpuss but I prefer a small forum like this one, quality as opposed to quantity. If I missed your posts then I am truly very sorry. Sometimes we all get caught up in life and what is happening to ourselves, like myself last week when I couldn't walk without being supported due to the side effects on my Epilepsy medication.

I sincerely hope that you get well soon, just because we might not all get the time to reply does not mean that I/we are not thinking of each other.

I’m very sorry that you feel as you do. It’s clear to me that you are very angry with a lot of us and to be honest, I was quite taken aback by what you have said. I’ve been on holiday in Florida with family for the last 2 weeks and have not looked at the forum since February 23rd so apologies for not having replied to your ‘Update’ post. There seems little point in my replying to that post now but should you read this then, I’m pleased you are mending and soon will be back on your feet and well done with all your achievements.

As a few people have posted I decided to answer the posts. Bellatrix your posts seemed often to have underlying racist tendencies. You explained your viewpoints and I was mistaken. As you said things need to be looked at in context and I apologize for the misinterpretation. Thanks for the post on my update post. LL.    You were one of the few people who have replied to my posts. A number of people have told me they tried to post on this site but it is too tight and cliquey and a few people seem to post to each other and they have left for this reason. No-one in six weeks asked after my health after I posted about my injury. I hoped after putting an update this might get a response and the group might show some interest. I was wrong. Only two people bothered. Jax claimed she was busy but she came on the site the day I posted the update and answered another one and ignored mine even though it was the last post and obvious to see. Your words Jax 'if it causes offence so be it' shows you are insensitive and don't care a damn about who you offend or upset.


My husband was trying to persuade me to give the site another chance but Jazzy you said that you know who you can turn to in hard times. It is certainly not you or Jax. On another site I had 90 people wish me good luck and have regularly asked after my health and replied to my updates. My husband said remember 'there are uncaring people on every site and you have to ignore them and try to talk to the decent ones.' Finding them is difficult on this site when only about 6 people have bothered to reply to my posts and most don't show they care at all.

Hi Bellatrix, I have a sense of humour if the topic is funny. I suffered anti-semitism when I was a child and has a Jewish name and was thought a Jew even though I went to Church of England Sunday School and therefore I find racism difficult to stomach. I also taught Equal Opportunities policy and take the subject seriously. I read the posts to my husband and he came to the same conclusions as me and he was also horrified when he heard someone said girls couldn't afford tampons because they were paying mobile phones. He asked if the person who said that has a social conscience. There are girls in the cities around here who do not eat breakfast because their parents are so poor and the teacher have to provide breakfast and shoes. Hardly funny is it? It is possible to be unpleasant by ignoring people when they are on a thread and someone answers every reply except the one who is being ignored.

We all forget posts but there is no excuse for a group to ignore a person who is housebound for six weeks if they claim to be friends. My husband could not believe this had happened.
