Perhaps there will be a reconciliation, even after all the spitting and spilling of beans he did. Illness can sometimes bring a family together, or he may just decide enough is enough and come home.
They certainly need a few more of the family to step into the breach that's for sure.
It looks like Charles and Harry might reconcile, which I am sure will be good for both of them, but I don't think the public would accept Meghan stepping into the role that she snubbed so publicly and I should imagine William & Kate wouldn't welcome her with open arms even if they manage to find a way to work with Harry. Reckon Bea and Eugenie will probably get some more gigs.
Poor Charles. He’s hardly been king a minute and this happens. I mean I know he’ll be king till he draws his last breath but whether he’ll be able to carry out the duties of a king is a different matter.
Really though who of us would want to start a new and very high profile job in our 70s. He should be retired with his feet up and playing with his grandkids.
Apparently Harry is on his way to see Charles without Meagain, this really is a massive opportunity for him, let's hope he manages himself with compassion and dignity....and acts the way that would make his grandmother and mother proud of him again.
I've always liked Charles, he has a very funny wit about him and he's a very sensitive man. Spent so much of his life being the butt of jokes and so publicly too. So I'm really sad to hear he has some type of cancer, lifes been quite cruel to him these past few years, king or not he's human with deep feelings.
I know anyone is able to get cancer but some types are more prolific when the person has been on high stress alert over a long period of time. Stress causes illness in many forms. Barrage of hate on social media, son done a bunk with grand kids, writes a tell all book and his version of events in a netflix series, shames you on Oprah, Mother passes away and now you're king! plenty of stress there
I hope some of his life stresses can be fixed and he makes a full recovery
There is a lot to be said for being part of a group, and the support and friendship that is gained from this.
My OH read that quite a few of the royals have had cancer. The queen mother had breast cancer in the 1960's and the queen also had cancer, although none of these were ever mentioned. They were viewed differently then.
I think it's positive that they have revealed that he has cancer, although perhaps it's leaving it open to speculation as they've not revealed what type. Just goes to show that anyone can develop it, no matter what your background and circumstances and that seeking treatment once you think something might be wrong is really key.
