What happens when i have being painting ..i was helping out in the local Charity Shop ,painting the back sorting room ..now Skirt and Tights have got to be binned or put in the charity shop rag bag ..i have only myself to blame and should have worn overalls
My goodness was there much paint on the walls?!!! Sorry, I’m being cheeky! Good for you for helping out at a charity shop. I remember we had another member who did that and used to tell us about the awful stuff that got donated. What happens to the ragbag? I have searched to find anyone who will take old clothes and fabrics that are not good enough to be sold but found nothing. There used to be a place called Wastesaver (I think) which took stuff from Oxfam but no sign of it now.

Hi ..the charity shop takes clothes they cannot sell such as this Skirt and Tights i have ruined and put them in a rag bag which is then collected by rag merchants ,they shred them for mattress filling ,car insulation etc etc so at least its better than me putting them in the bin ...i do help out at the charity shop every now and again when i am not at work ,my mother in law is also a staff member so its like a family business ..It will have opened this morning with a fresh coat of White paint
Thats a shame, the skirt looks like a good fit too.
Women look pretty cool in overalls anyway - definitely invest in some if you do a lot of painting
The Skirt was only £12 brand new when i bought it its just a stretchy polyester /gabardine fabric , an office pencil skirt ,so its not too much of a loss ,i only wore it for work .i shall rescue /salvage the rear zip, it will come into use if or when ever anyone gets a broken zip !! oh and in future i will buy overalls.

I have an answer to the overall situation. Buy a variety of aprons instead. I use aprons for everything. I have one for gardening, one for painting and my everyday kitchen one, which unless I have it on I don't feel right in the kitchen.
You sound a bit like a mend and make do person Moonshine. I'm forever trying to use things for another purpose before calling it a day with them
use things for another purpose before calling it a day with them ...yes ..its a pity more people don't recycle / upcycle instead of ending in a landfill ..in fact it would make for a good forum topic ..what or if you recycle and what you make from whatever you have ..
