Poor Fred. Our dogs haven't been injured (yet) but if they ever are I can definitely see them milking as long as possible. And I will play right into it. If dh did the same thing however I would no doubt tell him to man up 😂
his is his paw 2 weeks after the injury - coming along nicely and no bandage now. He does try and lick it but if I tell him not to he stops. I put him in a sock at night just in case though lol.

How is he doing now? I can't bear it if I think one of mine is ill. I have them down at the vet at the slightest whimper. I'm hopeless. They are usually better within hours. But you never know and always want to do your best for them don't you? Our vet loves me (more for my bank account than anything else).
I do love good owners though, which you obviously are 😍
He has healed really well thanks!! It even looks as though the nail may grow back - I'm sure I can see a new little nub there :-)
However, 5.30am walk today - limping on back leg!! I think he gets stiff and may have a touch of arthritis, after a long race career, but keeping an eye on his pads too, as they are susceptible to corns :-(
