Aaaagggghhh, end of August looming...I hate it! 
the nights already 'drawing in' as they say oop north, it's raining here today too, although we are all in desperate need of that so mustn't grumble eh?
We were hoping to spend a few days in Lincoln this week, but the weather isn't looking too promising. Meeting up with daughter in York for lunch tomorrow, she will be on her way back to Edinburgh so it is a good opportunity for us to catch up for a few hours. She is having her chum Danny to stay for a month when she gets back home. Danny lives in New Zealand, when she was out in New Zealand early 2020, their big lockdown occurred, and Danny insisted she stay in his 4 bed 3 bath beautiful home, which was a massive relief for us. They supported each other during the lockdown. They have known each other for years, he is British and does CGI work for film companies. He was tempted over to New Zealand by the film makers of Lord of the Rings, and has been provided with a beautiful house for the term of his contract, which keeps getting renewed.
Oo 'eck...don't I half go on when I get started
....anyhoo, daughter has a 2 bed 1 bath apartment, (it does have a separate cloakroom ) so it is going to be interesting....Danny is gay , he is very handsome, a brilliant cook and loves to clean....personally I think he's a keeper 
I need to overhaul me winter footwear this week before the sales end...although the sales seem to be continual at the mo, several pairs in me cupboard definitely need to go the charity shop.
