As anyone on here can vouch 6herry, I am purer than driven snow, an angel, saintly almost, extremely well behaved and a pillar of the community well almost...
There is a lot to be said for being part of a group, and the support and friendship that is gained from this.
6herry, I think my miss dangerous is on its way. The library that our granddaughter goes to is under threat of closure. The plan at the moment is to stand outside the council offices chanting. Lots of oldies call into the library for a chat, if it were to close they could go for days without speaking to anyone. Our aim is to go down fighting!

Yay, good for you, that's the sort of thing I wanted to hear.
Do report back with an update.
I am still proud that my gran went on ban the bomb marches in the 60's.
Not exactly in the league of a suffragette, but yesterday I had a GP appointment, when I arrived there was no receptionist in sight (you can check in via a touch screen) but the big screens in the waiting room usually make a doorbell noise, flash up the name of the patient, which doctor they are seeing and which room to go to when it's your turn. Neither of the screens were working, so there was just a doorbell noise then all the patients were looking at one another in confusion as nobody knew whether that call should have been them. I went to the desk and rang the bell for the receptionist, when after about a minute the door to their back room remained shut, I stood there ringing it continuously until one of them finally appeared (with a very irritated look on her face) ... I explained that nobody knew what was going on as the screens weren't working and she said the doctors would call patients through (ironically at that moment there was indeed a call out over the tannoy but until that point, nobody had been called through). They are dragons these receptionists - it wouldn't have taken them a minute to scribble out a sign and pop it under the screens, or remain at the reception desk and explain to patients what was happening. I expect they'll put me on a blacklist now so that next time I call for an appointment they'll make me wait 3 weeks ..... oh hang on, they do that anyway!
Oooh don't start me on doctors receptionists... (round here known as the Gestapo!) Trisha - I now have visions of you chained together holding strong and defeating the closures!!! Go girl!!!! As for me, I am a bit of a boring bugger, however last week I woke in the night wandering when my camper tax was due so got up and checked online. Got a few more months left on it, but for some odd reason I felt compelled to check the car. MOT had expired May - so mad dash to garage the next day to get another lol - i rebelliously drove to the garage lol I have minor road rage and in-car shouty sessions at people on their mobiles while driving, but tend to be quite a law abiding motorist myself - usually! lol

I think the default for them is 'obstreperous' coz when I was deputy manager ours were polite and helpful When I took over, the returned to default, and 'discussions' had to be had. Since I left, I hear they are "bloody rude".
